A Roll of the Dice: Divisibility Teams
divisibility · applying divisibility rules to numbers from 10 to 999
To understand divisibility rules [CCSS 4.OA.B.4].
A Roll of the Dice: Divisibility Teams gives Grade 4 students repeated practice applying divisibility rules to numbers from 10 to 999. One player or team chooses a number, a die supplies the divisor, and the opposing side decides whether the number is divisible by that roll. Because the divisor changes, students have to shift between different divisibility tests from turn to turn.
Use it for partner work or team review when you want quick verbal reasoning and plenty of examples without preparing a long problem set. Ask students to name the rule that supports each decision, not just give yes or no. Generate the lesson with a free Find a Math Game account. No credit card; 3 lesson generations for life.
