Last updated (draft): July 2026

Draft for legal review before public launch. This document is not lawyer-approved and is provided for internal review only.

This policy explains what personal information Find a Math Game collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. Find a Math Game is designed for teachers and school administrators, not for children.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email, school (optional), and password hash.
  • Usage information: pages visited, filters applied, and lessons generated. Used to operate and improve the service.
  • Billing information: processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Content you create: saved games, generated lessons, and your classroom adaptations.

2. Student data

Do not enter student names or other confidential student information.

Find a Math Game does not knowingly collect student data. Teachers must not enter student names, student photos, or other confidential student information into any lesson content or free-text field.

3. AI providers

Search requests and lesson-generation content are processed using the OpenAI API. API inputs and outputs are not used to train OpenAI models by default. Limited information may be retained temporarily for security and abuse monitoring according to the provider's applicable data policies.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use functional cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand usage patterns. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Sharing

We share information only with service providers necessary to operate the platform (hosting, email delivery, payments, AI processing) and when required by law. School administrators can see seat assignments for teachers on their school plan.

6. Data retention

Account and content data are retained while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period after cancellation to allow reinstatement. You may request deletion at any time through Account → Danger Zone or the Help Center.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Send requests through the Help Center contact form.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; report suspected vulnerabilities to the Help Center.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced through the app or by email.
