Comparing fractions
Fraction Feud is a Grade 4 card game for comparing fractions. Players reveal cards at the same time, and the greatest fraction wins the round. When equivalent fractions appear, the game triggers a feud and players reveal more cards until one fraction is greater. That repeated comparison keeps attention on fraction magnitude and equivalence rather than on memorizing a single procedure.
Use it in a small group for quick comparison practice with plenty of chances to ask how students knew which fraction was larger. Equivalent values also become meaningful because they change the flow of the game. Generate the lesson for Fraction Feud with a free Find a Math Game account.
