Fraction Operation Race

fractions · adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions

To determine the sum, difference, product and quotient of two fractions.

Fraction Operation Race is a Grade 6 game for working across all four fraction operations. Players draw two fraction cards and use a die to determine whether they will add, subtract, multiply, or divide; wild rolls allow a choice. A correct simplified answer moves the player on a board whose movement rules also depend on the size of the result, so students must compute and interpret each answer.

Use it for partner or small-group review when students need mixed fraction-operation practice rather than one operation at a time. Other players check the work before movement occurs.
