Fractions of Time

Fractions of Time is a Grade 3 activity that uses an analog clock to connect fractions with minutes in an hour. Students reason about familiar positions such as 1/2, 1/4, and 3/4 of an hour, then relate twelfths on the clock face to equivalent fractions and actual minute amounts.
