High-Number Toss

High-Number Toss is a Grade 4 place-value game where dice are used to create very large numbers. Students roll four times, arrange the first three digits strategically, and use the fourth roll to determine how many zeroes follow. Each round asks them to read, write, and compare multi-digit numbers while thinking about how digit placement and powers of ten affect magnitude.

Use it for partner or small-group review when students are working with large whole numbers.
