Inequality Test

inequalities · solving and graphing two-step inequalities

To solve and graph two-step inequalities [7.EE.B.4b].

Inequality Test is a Grade 7 card game for creating, solving, and graphing two-step inequalities with positive and negative integers. Students draw cards to generate the coefficients and constant in an inequality, solve for x, and then represent the solution on a number line. Because red and black cards determine sign, every round produces a different algebraic situation.

Use it for partner or small-group practice when students are ready to connect symbolic solving with a graphical solution set. Peer checking can focus on both the algebra and whether the number-line graph matches the final inequality. Create a free Find a Math Game account to generate teacher-ready lesson support for Inequality Test. No credit card, and 3 lifetime lesson generations are included.
