LEFT-MID-RIGHT

geometry · identifying object position: left, middle, right

To identify the position of an object, left, middle and right

LEFT-MID-RIGHT is a Kindergarten positional-language game for identifying whether an object is on the left, in the middle, or on the right. Players place three picture cards on a shared board, spin for a positional prompt, and either name or point to the object in the requested location. The repeated visual arrangement gives young students concrete practice with spatial vocabulary.

Use it for partner work when children are learning position words and need lots of oral repetition. Since identifying the object earns more than simply pointing, the scoring encourages students to use the vocabulary themselves.
