NUMBER RUMMY

NUMBER RUMMY is a Grades 3–4 card game where students build “books” of two or more cards whose values can be combined to make 10. Players may use any operations they know, explain each book as it is laid down, and continue drawing and discarding in a Rummy-style format. The open-ended rule means the same cards can support many different valid expressions.

Use it in a small group when students are practicing computation flexibility and expression building.
