Pass the Problem is a Grade 7 equations activity that makes solving a multi-step equation a team process. In groups of four, one student completes a single step and passes the paper to the next person, continuing until the equation is solved. Because each student inherits the previous work, everyone has to read the equation carefully and decide whether the next step keeps the solution on track.
