Product Grid
multiplication · multiplying adjacent 1-digit card values to match a target product
To multiply two 1-digit numbers [3.OA.C.7].
Product Grid is a Grade 3 multiplication game played on a face-up grid of number cards. A spinner gives the target product, and players scan horizontally, vertically, and diagonally for two adjacent cards whose values multiply to that target. Finding the pair requires students to work backward from product to factors while also searching the grid strategically.
Use it in a small group when students are building multiplication fluency and factor recognition. Ask students to say the multiplication sentence before collecting a pair so the factor-product relationship stays explicit.
