REDUCTION RACES is a Grade 4 whole-class fraction game focused on simplifying fractions. Two teams race to reduce a fraction on the board to simplest form, earning a point for the first correct answer. Problems can range from familiar fractions such as 10/20 to much larger equivalent fractions for added challenge.

Use it as a quick review when students understand common factors and need fluency simplifying fractions.
