Salute! Number Duel

Salute! Number Duel is a fast mental-math game for Grades 3–7 using addition or multiplication. Two players hold a hidden card on their foreheads while a third player announces either the sum or product of the two values. Each player must work backward from the shared result to determine the number on their own card.

Use it in groups of three when students are practicing inverse reasoning with basic facts. The same setup can emphasize missing-addend thinking with addition or missing-factor thinking with multiplication.
