Shades of Decimal is a Grade 5 partner game for interpreting decimal models on tenths and hundredths grids. One player shades one or more 1-by-10 or 10-by-10 boards, and the opponent identifies the decimal represented by the combined shading. The visual setup helps students connect decimal notation with quantities larger than a single grid when multiple models are used.
