Spinning For Zero
integers · plotting and moving on an integer number line
To plot integers on number lines.
Spinning For Zero is a Grade 6 integer number-line game where players move in positive or negative directions based on two spinner results. Everyone starts at zero, and each turn combines a sign with a distance from 1 to 5; wild spaces allow a choice. Reaching either end of the number line causes an automatic loss, while the first player to return exactly to zero wins.
Use it for partner or small-group practice when students are learning how signed movements change position on an integer number line. Ask students to predict the landing point before moving the marker. Create a free Find a Math Game account to generate teacher-ready lesson support for Spinning For Zero.
