Transform-Board

geometry · transformations: reflection, rotation, and translation

To perform reflection (flip), rotation (turn) and translation (slide) of a figure

Transform-Board is a Grade 6 geometry strategy game where card draws determine both the type and size of a transformation. One deck selects reflection, rotation, or translation, while a second deck controls how far or how many quarter-turns the triangle moves. Students must perform the transformation accurately while keeping the piece inside the board.

Use it for partner work when students are learning the difference among flips, turns, and slides and need precise transformation language. Ask students to name the transformation and movement before moving the piece. Create a free Find a Math Game account to generate teacher-ready lesson support for Transform-Board. No credit card is required, with 3 lifetime lesson generations.
