Transmogrify is a Grade 7 card game for converting between mixed numbers and improper fractions. A die determines which form the player must build, three cards supply the values, and the student then converts to the opposite form. Correct conversions allow the player to keep the three cards.
Use it for partner or small-group review when students are moving fluently between mixed and improper forms. Because students arrange the three card values themselves, each turn includes both fraction construction and conversion.
